ANNUAL REPORT :  2013-2014

Principal Address (22nd July 2013).
Principal Dr. Babasheb Sangle has introduced differnet activities and explained the dixcipline rules to the FYBA/BCOM/BSc Students. Programme Officer Dr. Rupali Gulalkari has given introductory Speech. Prof Prof. Sachin Kamble van was the anchor and Dr. Kishor Desarda has given vote of thanks.

Blood Donation Camp 14th August 2013-A Blood Donation camp was organized with the association of Regional Blood Bank of Sasoon Hospital on the occasion of the Birthday of Mr. Shantilalji Muttha. The camp was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Babasaheb Sangale. 42 Donars have donated the blood. Dr. Rupali Gulalkari and Prof. Mahaveer Shrishrimal have organized the camp.

Rakshabandhan 20th August 2013 On the occasssion of Rakhi Pournima NSS volunteers tied Rakhi to 300 orphan Students of BJS Secondary and Higher Secondary School who are staying in the hostel. Principal Dr. Shobha Ingawale, Shahu Mandir Mahavidyalya, Parvati, Pune was the Chief Guest and Principal Dr. Babasaheb Sangale of BJS was the Welcome President while Mr. Shantilalji Bora was the Presidnt on this occasion . Aai Pratisthan, Wagholi has cooperated for this function by offerning Rakhis for the students. NSS Volunteers, BJS Hostel Staff, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff were present on this occasion. Prof Mahaveer Shrishrimal has given introductory speech whileProf SachinKamble has given vote of thanks and Prof Pallavi Darekar wast he anchor.

NSS Foundation Day- Tree Plantation at Wagholi Cerematory
NSS Foundation Day was celebrated on Tuesday, 24 th September 2013 at Wagholi Cerematory and Wagheshwar Temple  by planting 105 different trees as Silver Oak, Saptparni, Gulmohor, Asholk, Badam etc. Village Sarpanch Mrs Sarojini Waghmare,  Vice-Sarpanch Mr. Rambhavu Dabhade and other Village Panchyat Members were planted the trees. Principal Dr. Babasaheb Sangale presided over the function. Dr. D.N.Patil, Dr. Bhushan Phadatare have cooperated for the plantation. Prof. Mahaveer Shrishrimal, Prof. Sachin Kamble and Prof Pallavi Darekar have organized the Funtion and Mr Yogesh Waghmode, Sachin Khade, Aaditya Kotwal, Mayur Swami, Walunj Jyoti, Sayali Deshmukh and other 75 volunteers have actively participated in this programme.

Yuva Saptah – Youth Week (11 to 18 Jan 2014)
On the occasion of 151th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanand A Yuva Saptah (Youth Week) was organized. It was inaugurated by Mr. Shrikant Gabale, Research Officer, YASHADA with the Slide-Show Killyancha Varasa Japuya! (Lets Preserve the Tradition of Forts). The week was concluded with the lecture Yuvak aani Vikas (Youth and Development) by Mr. Mukund Sangoram, Resident Editor, Daily Loksatta. In this Youth Week differnet competitions such as Rangoli. Photography, Cooking, Best from Waste, Elocution, Poetry, Essay were organized.

Eight NSS Volunteers have participated in one day workshop titled “Increasing Harrasment and Viloations of Women’s Rights, Problems and Solutions” organized at MIT MAEER’S College on 16th September 2013.

Eight NSS Volunteers
have participated in one day  University level workshop titled as “Role of Value based Education and Participation of Youth in shaping future of India” at Aacharya Atre Auditorium organized by Modern College of Faramcy, Nigadi on 27th December, 2013.

Five NSS Volunteers
have participated 7 days State level Camp based on PANIDAR MAHARASHTRA at Shinoli, Taluka Aambegaon, Pune during 8th-14th February 2014.

The NSS unit of the college received the Best NSS Unit Award (Pune  District) for year 2012-13 on 6th September 2013. Dr. Rupali Gulalkari has received the Best Programme Officer Award(Pune District) for the 2012-13 on 6th September 2013.

SPECIAL CAMP REPORT:  2013-14

NSS Department of the college has organized the special camp at Aapati, Post-Vadhu, Taluka-Shirur, District-Pune from 13 thDecember to 19th   December 2013.The motto of this camp was “Wholistic and Sustainable Rural Development ”. The camp wasinaugurated by the village sarpanch Mr. Shivaji Dhage and vice-Principal Dr. Kishor Desarda presided over. Programme officer Prof. Mahaveer Shrishrimal has given introductory speech. Prof Sachin Kamble was the anchor and Prof Pallavi Darekar has given vote of thanks. Mr. Pradeepdada Kand, Deputy-President Pune Zilha Parishad was chief guest on Closing Ceremony. Mr. Shantilalaji Bora was the president while Principal Dr. Babasaheb Sangale was the Welcome President. The NSS volunteers have expressed their experiences  of the Camp. Best NSS volunteers and Group award were honoured by the hands of the Chief Guest.

NSS Volunteers have cleaned and made beautification of Samaj Mandir, Maruti Mandir, Bhairavnath Mandir, Village ceremotary area.

A health awareness rally was organized in the village.

Blood Check camp was oarganised and Heamogram and Blood Group of 110 village women and 26 orphan children of Maher Sansha have been checked. While 22 bloodbags were collected in the Blood Donation Camp

A lecture Series on ‘Addiction- Causes and Solution’, ‘Woment Empowerment through Self-Employment’, ‘Youth and Development’, ‘NSS and Youth’, ‘Rural Development through NSS’, ‘Village Develoment through Water Conservation’ was organized during camp period.
